Stolen Words

The book “Stolen words” by Melanie Florence and Gabrielle Grimard is a part of a can make the person really feeling what they thinking and their pain of picture books for primary age children. This story is about a little girl helps her grandfather regain the language taken from him as a child. I like that book because the author uses sensitive and warmly illustrated picture book explores the intergenerational impact of the residential school system that separated young Indigenous children from their families. I can feel through this story recognizes the pain of those whose culture and language was taken from them, how that pain is passed down. I think that is a great story the author and illustrated can work together and let the story thoughtful also let the children know more about the pain felt by indigenous peoples

Hey, Little Ant

The book“ Hey, Little Ant ”is part of telling you a truth of picture books aimed for primary age children, written by Phillip and Hannah Hoose and illustrated by Debbie Tilley. It is about a child wants to step on the story of an ant. The author uses an imaginative way to describe the dialogue process between a child and an ant. In the process of dialogue, we understand a truth. I like this book because this book told me a truth that thinking about the problem from the perspective of others. In conclusion, I think this is a great picture book. The author writes an important truth vividly in an imaginary way.
